MST - Multi Surface Toolkit (Alpha)

The idea for MST was born out of a curiosity to the same problem I have continuously noticed around a multitude of projects. One where production meets the value of the artist, which comes with its number of tradeoffs as is, but how is MST actually solving this issue? MST provides a non-destructive filter workflow integrated inside Substance Painter (Current Development Platform using .sbsar builds), and its main goal isn't to replace the artists by any means but allow the artist to simply drag and drop a functional base for a multitude of surface workflows. Are you a hand painter? No problem, hand painted diffuse core works as the major foundation for this whole entire structure! But what about cel shading and anime styles? Well MST has proved to support promising contrasts for that pipeline as well! What about me and my comic style? Painted Normals? Well... it can do that too.

Most of it has been assuring that there is NO catch. You have a niche style that you take hours to perfect? Let MST create that foundation for you cutting back the time it takes to author your work and allowing you to be the artist you were meant to be.

I've also seen some really interesting results with this specific tool in regard to painting with generated detail using black masks. But I have not tested this with any sort of realism or anything leaning toward PBR support (yet). To Note* this tool is still currently under development, and it's planned to have more increased support as its currently in v0.1.2. Nonetheless I really hope other find the value in this as I have, and as always, enjoy! :3
